Default X1 Dyno

The cam is currently going in at MTI and will be tuned by Jayson. Seems like most dyno's I see with the cam have the ported TB, pullies, etc. or some combination of bolt ons.

Its an '02 so obviously it has the LS6 intake. With only the cam, headers, ORY, catback, and lid, what should I expect? Dyno'd at 340 RWHP before they started the install.

I'm hoping for 380-390. I pick it up tomorrow & can't wait!

you'll probably see about 365-370

I have a "strong" car...or so I have been told by my shop of choice...Raging Motorsports....I saw 380.9
I just put on the ls6 intake...havent had a chance to re-dyno yet.....should be close to 395-400 now

see my sig for a dyno graph...post yours or send me a copy for some comparison of the different mods between your setup and mine....

BTW....you are gonna have a permanent grin after you get it back....

Just drove the car home from Houston with the X1. Thanks to MTI for awesome job and service, first class all the way!

I was very happy with the results:

389.9 RWHP
368.8 RWTQ

Baseline was 339.9 before the cam & tuning.

Mods:
X1 cam + MTI tuning
Jet hot long tubes + ORY
Borla (blocked off)
Direct Flo lid

Needless to say, I'm pretty stoked. Pullies & ported throttle body should get me 400+ at the wheels.

thats great
how do you like the driveability with MTI's tuning? Pretty good?
i was gonna get them to build my motor, using their heads and the X1, then let em tune it
but im broke so i gotta build it now, but i want to use them for the tuning

i wonder how much you'll see with really nice heads

Dang good numbers for a cam only car. That X1 is a pretty good cam. I ran 127 mph a few times with that cam and some MTI heads. (10.67)

Good luck!

Thanks guys!

Stew - the driveability is excellent, no stalls, even when I click on the AC. The idle is set at 850, low enough to get a really nice lope... I have noticed just a slight bit of surging when coasting at low rpm, but again, its very slight and infrequent. Definitely worth it for the hp, no question. I am happy I chose the X1.
