I am needing a new engine for my daily driver and I am wanting to go ahead and just completly go all out. I am wanting to go ahead and upgrade from my 4.8 to either a 5.7 or a 6.0 but if I do that I am wanting to go ahead and stroke it but I am just not to sure what would be a good combo for a daily driver. I would also like to know what would be a good horse power rating for a daily driver and still be able to have fun at the same time, any help with this question would be completly appreciated, later.

 

"Daily driver" is such a vague term nowadays. What kind of driving do you do and how fast do you want to go?

 

Yea, what are you wanting to do..there is a such thing as having too much power as a DD, you will start hating things.

 

I drive the truck everyday to work and any other place in between I am just wanting a strong built engine that will last and most importantly be dependable. I really do not drive that fast maybe 5miles over the speed limit, but if a punk pulls up beside me I do want to be able to whoop his A%% you now what I mean, so any help would be very appreciated, thanks, later.

 

well if it was me in the truck i would go 6.0 with bolt ons, cam and since you are not wanting constant power all the time and only if some punk comes up beside you u will be able to blow his doors off slap the bottle on it and let him know your not slow
