Default Which cam, help

This is my first post. This is a great site with so much info.

Anyways, Have a 02 Z06 with some mods(see sig). Looking to do a cam only swap. Cant decide which cam to get. I'm wanting at least 400 - 410 RWHP and a NASTY idle . Would like good power throught the band, not just on topend. Was thinking about the G5-X2 but the 609 lift has me worried about breakin springs. Here are some I was thinking about:
230/232 duration, .592"/.595", 112lsa
230/232 duration, .573"/.575", 111lsa
228/228 duration, .571"/.571", 112lsa +1

These to me seem like they are close to each other. How does the change in lift affect the motor? Thanks for any comments or ideas !!

Check out the TR230, the TSP231/237 and the MTI X1.

That's a very worthy goal as long as you don't have to pass an emissions test!

They hookup to the pcm here, so they dont sniff. Should be ok as long as theres no codes.

A small cam like a TR224 will give you the power you want, sooo any of those Cams are good in the power department.

If you are looking for a nasty idle.. it doesn't get much nastier than the TSP 231/237. Every time I stop at a redlight people stare at my car now!! And I think there has been a couple of people getting really close to or right over 400rwhp on stock LS1 heads with tuning and the other bolt ons, so you should have no problem on your LS6 heads.

I think the TR230 would be perfect for you. I just installed it on stock ls1 heads and put down 403rwhp with cats. I'm sure you can put down over 410 on LS6 heads. The idle is SICK on a 111 LSA, thumps HARD.

Here's a link to my dyno sheet, you can see the nice flat torque curve, not peeky at all, which makes this car GREAT to drive.

I personally would not run any of those HUGE cams in a cam only motor. But if you REALLY have to have one of them, i would give the nod to the 228/228.
Big dont mean fast...
