Default cam advance?

ok this might sound stupid , but when advancing the cam do you move the cam clock wise ( looking from the front of the car back) or counter clock wise?

It depends on wether the adjustment is done at the cam or at the crank. If the adjustment is done at the crank the cam does NOT move. The crank moves slightly CCW to advance the cam. If the adjustment is done at the cam the converse is true.
