All motor 346 qeustions
All motor 346 qeustions I was wondering the valvle angle on the 241 heads?
Also I am using a 13:1 pistion. with the 241 head, The reason I am so concerned is I am going to be using the Vindicator II cam 240/244 .608/.596 113+2 LSA. but I am noT sure what head gasket I should start with. I was planning on starting with the GM MLS .051 for starters, then using playdoh to see what the piston to valvle will be. But If I can get away with using a .035 or .040 gasket with no issue I am going to do that the first time around
. Any comments with be helpful and thanks in advance.

Valve angle on 241's would be 15 degrees.
Are you planning on running a custom piston or a shelf piston. If you are building a custom piston, tell the piston manufacturer what gasket you want to run and they will build it accordingly. Also, you can ask them what gasket to run. I would think if it is a shelf piston, a .040 would be fine. As mentioned above, you will have reliefs in the piston so PTV shouldn't be an issue.

You might check how far the piston comes out of the hole before buying gaskets.
