Default Piston Rod combos

Rebuilding motor wondering what piston rod combos you guys are using. My plans for the motor are afr 205s fast big mouth intake 150-200 shot nitrous stock crank forged pistons and I beam rods. I am curious as to I beam rods or stock rods. I am not opposed to H beams but considering im looking for 450 hp without nitrous and rod weight I wouldnt need anything too serious but with the occasional NOS burst everynow and then. I guess my question is would stock rods hold up with forged pistons in my application and if not what piston rod combos are you all using. I have a budget of around 700 for these. Thanks

You're not going to get good, nitrous duty, pistons and good rods for $700. The pistons and rings will probably be over $600.

^^Agreed. You can get a set of Weisco pistons @ Speed Inc. for right under $600 then add rings. The Diamonds are even more expensive. Then for rods your lookin at probably another $500 at least. So your budget isn't gonna get you there unless you really score in the for sale section, but even then it's a slim chance.

I'm running forged Mahle pistons and Scat I-beams with a 150-200 shot. Mahle says these pistons will easily hold up to a 250 shot. Just under $1k for the combo new, that's about as cheap as it can be done with new parts.
