Default Head/Piston combo

Alright, recently invested and bought a T-Rex cam kit (Double Springs, 7.400 Hardened Pushrods, Etc). My question is now, id like to run pump gas and hopefully shoot some juice with this new cam (150 shot), Should i stick with the stock heads or go with 6.0L's and flat top or doomed pistons and try not to have clearance issues. I only paid 150 for the 6.0L heads, so I'm not really out of anything if i don't use them.... Just need a lil guidance, this is my first LSX cam swap, trying to stay in a small budget. Thanks guys

The 6l heads would be a bad move. The compression loss will really hurt the power across the board. You need a head that offers stock or better p/v clearance. We sell the PRC Stage 1 ls6 heads with stock p/v and 63cc chambers for right about $1000 a pair. That combo has made high 480rwhp area with a T-rex & fast combo on our dyno. You definately need to be careful picking a cylinder heads to make sure you don't kill anymore p/v.

If you want to go crazy & look for big hp, then the new PRC 215 heads can be shipped with 59cc chambers & stock valve drop! That combo should make really huge power, we recently had a m6 car make just at 500rwhp with a 235/240 Tsunami camshaft which is almost 10 degrees of duration less than your T-Rex!!
