Default Stuck on cam swap, help please

Hi guys thanks for stopping in. I'm putting in a cam on my 98 Z28 A4. The problem is I rounded off the fitting on the tranny cooler line trying to remove it from the bottom of the radiator. I noticed a gap in the hard line where it is rubber hose. Would my best bet be just to cut the hose to get the radiator out for now and buy a new piece of hose?

I tried, it's basically fallng apart. I was wondering if the small section of black hose is easily replacable?

The lower hose is the pressure side and manufactured piece, so patching it is not so simple. Part #10278608 and it's only $20 for the complete assembly from GM. That's the way I'd go.
