How to sem-budget a 383 stroker build? I have searched and read about as many post and threads I can find and fell I have a semi-enough understanding of what needs to be done....at least enough to have a disscusion about it with some guys with hands on time in this area. I want to build a 383 stroker setup. I have these parts gathered and would like to know what all I need past this. Everthing from injectors size to possible kits that are able to make this a semi-budget build. In the meantime I am also wanting to get some tranny ideas...running the stock trans now with just the 3800 vig stall, shift kit, and transcooler w/gauge.

CNC'ed 241's w/stock valves, Comp 650 lift springs, gaskets, red centerbolt valvecovers, 7.4 pushrods, and a custom grind 239/240 .600/.609 111.5 lope comp cam. I know I need timing chain, water pump, rod bolts...and a few other gaskets...but I would like to have a very pinpointed idea of what I want to do as far as the stroker kit and trans. REMEMBER....keeping it cheaper. Seen a few 600whp built trans on here for some 1300 and with war.....leaning in that direction...just switch my stall and shift kit over and sell my stocker since they dont require a core...but as for the stroker kit and basic directions I am lost.

We stock several different 383 short-blocks, and 383 rotating assemblies. Do you plan on building yourself & machining your stock block??

I used a SCAT forged 4" crank, SCAT H-Beam rods, and Mahle 3.905" forged pistons. HKE hooked me up in the block machining (including notching for the long stroke), Scoggins-Dickey on the pistons, Comp Cams for the cam, and Patriot for a replacement 243 casting cylinder head.
Well your going to need a crank, rods, pistons, rings and bearings for the rotating assembly. Then your going to need prep work done to the block. We offer a competatively priced Scat crank and Eagle rod setup as well as our standard Callies combo. What did you budget for the engine?

^honestly I would like to get the most out of it n/a! I have been down both paths and even though my 620whp STI I built last year was fun...I just want longer lifespan and power/TQ at my foottips!!!!!
