I had a cam swap done yesterday and wanted to verify that the cam that came out of my car was an LS6. Is there anywhere that gives the numbers listed on the back of the cam to verify this?

 

what did it come out of?

if it was a zo6 vette...and it was original...well i'm pretty sure its an ls6 cam.

none of the fbodies got the ls6 cam....just the block and intake manifold.

should be a number on the end of the cam

 

Sorry I forgot to mention that the cam came out of an 01 SS. I was told by the previous owner that there was a ls6 cam in it. Just want to verify.

 

not unless he put it in there.

stock...nope didn't come with it.

possibly he heard it had the ls6 block...some did...and thought he had a true ls6

 

I know they didnt come with a LS6 cam stock. I know this. Im trying to figure out if the cam that was in there was an LS6....k?

 

The last 4 #ers of the GM part # are at the top on the back of the cam.

LS1 Vette 4710 0964 0968 1721

ZO6/LS6 Vette 0950 5308

LS1 F Body 7812 0965 1721

These #ers only go up to 2004.If yours is any of these #ers I can give you the specs.
