Questions about 5.3 heads
Ok so i found a set of TEA Stage 1.5 5.3 Heads heres the specs:
CNC Port LS1 5.3 and 5.7 Head to Stage 1.5
3.900” Combustion Chamber
Heads Milled .010"
Competition Multi-Angle Valve Job
Blend Valve Job
Flow Intake and Exhaust Ports
Ferrea 2.020 Intake Valve
REV 1.57” Exhaust Valves
921 Comp springs
TEA Titanium Retainer
TEA Locators
GM Locks
GM Intake and Exhaust Valve Seals
Intake runners are 218cc
Exhaust runners are 80cc
So my question is how would these compare to a set of PRC Stage 2.5 heads?? My current plan for the set up will be those heads, Pat G cam, TSP 1 7/8" headers, and Fast 90. So what heads would be a better option? Oh my car is a 6 speed btw.

If you're buying PRC heads new, I don't see why they can't make those same exact dimensions with comparable parts. If you can get the heads you're talking about for $600 then I'd say you've found a real deal. Having the cam custom specced(?) will allow for any minor differences.
TEA suggests no bigger than 228 on the intake side with their 5.3's. FYI I believe Texas Speed heads are set up differently, especially when fit with MS3. Correct me if I'm wrong.
I was going to buy the same heads your talking about. I called TEA and they told me what I posted earlier. Plus I think I'd rather go with the LS6 heads. Where in Nor Cal are ya? I'm from Vacaville.
