ok, so i have my stock 853s on my car right now and figured sometime in the future id have LLyod Elliot port n polish it, maybe new valves, and get a custom cam.

In the mean time id like a lil boost internally, and stock 5.3s go for $100, and when the time came to port em, id have the benifits of both worlds

how much power would stock 5.3s have over my stock heads now if i swap over the stock rockers?

EDIT- what else would i need to get these to work... gaskets, would my stockers be able to be reused? and can i reuse my stock head bolts?

You would need new head gaskets and head bolts. The stock head bolts cannot be reused.

 

ive heard its a 20hp gain due to compression, anyone have numbers to prove this? id like to see a chart.

also what bolts would i need to buy for these heads on my 98 ls1
