LQ4 engine upgrades

I will appoligize early if I ask any stupid questiosn but I am new to the gen3 engines. I recently got a camaro with a blown engine. I also got a 06 6.0 out of a chevy van. My question is what can i do to the engine to boost the hp to the 400-500 range. I will probly have to add parts in steps so i need to know what my first up grades should be and what sort of gains I would see.

poke around for 2 days and read the buildups it depends on your converter and gear, etc

Cam only 224/224 with a no knock, semi close fuel tune will give you 400 at the wheels.

Agree to BuffJoe. A good cam, a good tune, a good exhaust and of course a good air intake should put you in that range you want.

check out these. I'm about to start on new motor just not sure what yet. im leaning towards the lq4 with a carb. My truck will run 13s with a stock 350 now i coulndt imagine what a new 6.0 would do.
