Default Knock Sensors

So, I have all of the parts I need to do my LS6 intake swap, but I am thinking about putting in new knock sensors as well.

My car is a '98 and I have noticed some knock retard when there shouldn't be any while logging some runs with HPTuners. I have heard that '98 knock sensors can be a bit finicky.

I think I read somewhere that the later model cars had revised knock sensors as well as wiring harness. Is this true?

If so, what are the part numbers so I can look them up on SDPC or GMPD?

Yes 98 KS can be a pain. I did them and the harnesses when the cam went in and have had no issues. Just call SDPC and your good. I can't rember what the cost cause I bought a ton all at once. I think under $75 for both sensors and harnesses though.

Yes, the newer sensors/harness started in late '98. Check yours before upgrading. My '98 came with the updated sensors/harness.
