No oil pressure.
No oil pressure. My friend just called me and siad that he started his car (98 trans am) and there was no oil pressure and he said there was a lot of valve train noise. Obviously might be the oil pump. Is there anything else I should look into before pulling the pump out?

Many oil pressure problem are related to the O-ring on the pickup or the oil pump not being able to create a vacuum and suck the oil up the pickup tube and into the pump.
You didn't state if he was doing any work on the oil pickup, pump or anything else or was it just sitting around for a long period of time ?
