Default question on the 317 heads

Im looking at a set of 317 heads for a 2000 camaro i have a hookup on porting and milling and what not so im getting my machine work for chheeeaap. Everything ive read so far is telling me once you mill them they are identical to 243's What is optimal compression for a dd but on the little bit radical side for a cammed camaro but stock bottom end. the cam specs are 226/226 .585.585 114lsa. its a six speed car.
