Default new build help.

Ok, well im kinda new to whole LSX thing, but i just bought an LR4 4.8L from a friend and am planning on building it up for my 96 firebird.

A few main questions i have right now are, ive been told that i can use a 5.3/Ls1 crank in which turns it into a 5.3, but how much bigger can i take it with boreing it, and are there any stroker cranks available that would make it even bigger than a 5.3?

Im also looking to build this motor into a very low 11/ high 10 capable motor if possible. What all would i need to accomplish that? like what heads/cam combo and such?

Well, from teh sounds of it, you need to take a few more smaller steps before you start talking about the 10's. Yes, you can put in a longer throw crank (stroker) for more cubes. Couple questions you need to answer:

What is your budget?
Are you on a time frame?

And just so you know, a 5.3 and a LS1 are not the same. While they do share alot of the same parts, they are different. Typically when refering to these motors, it is best to use "LS" "LSx" "GenIII" "GenIV" "GenIII/IV" etc...
