Default Help identify 918's

Hey Everyone.

Im trying to identify my 918 Valve springs here to know whether ive got the newest version. I simply cannot afford to risk dropping a valve.

Their natural coloured, no stripes anywhere on them. i bought them used with 6k on them

excuse the dust on them. Hope it doenst make them harder to identify

Thanks!

I believe they are the newer design. I have a set out here new in the box just like them & had gone thru the same search of info when I bought them last summer.

The older design has a darker finsh & the stripe.
I do not know the date of the changeover either tho.

Anyone else have anything different to offer?!?

The "new" ones are micropolished with no stripe. I bought a set around 6 months ago. the new springs are lighter in color than those in your pic, but that may be due to some oil staining after 10k miles...

Those are the new ones, and they work fine. I've used them as high as .615 lift with no problems.

I would not use the old ones, that have blue stripes.
