Default Possible problem (maybe head gasket?)

Alright, I've got a bit a problem... maybe.

The car is in storage and has been since late November. As I've done since I've owned the car is I start it about once a month, get it up to operating temp give it a couple revs let it sit a bit and shut it down.

Today i started it and it took a little more persuasion than normal to start. A few turns and a pretty damn loud pop. Sounded like it came from the passenger side. Idle surges a bit, but it always has somewhat, and settles down, seems like it runs ok. I chalked it up to getting a bit to much gas in the motor before it turned over.

I even turned it off and started it back up again a couple times and after that started just fine. Ran it till the water stopped coming out of the exhaust.

If it was just the pop i probably wouldn't be making this post but after i shut it down a could hear a gurgling noise that sounded like it may have been coming from the passenger side head area, hard to tell though. I checked the coolant overflow tank and it was showing a bit low, lower than it should be. Is that the issue, just low coolant?

This motor was built last spring and the heads are o-ringed with copper head gaskets that are made to accept the o-ring.

What do you guys think?

Thanks.

Could it have backfired? The water coming out of the exhaust is probably condensation mine does it when it sits for a few days especially when its cold out. If it was blowing coolant you would have a pretty good idea. You will smell somthing that almost smells like syrup. Drain the oil see if theres any water in it.

Oh and the oil looked clean, not cloudy or anything, didnt drain it just pulled the dipstick out a couple of times. That is my hope for not leaking coolant into the engine.

I wasnt really worried about the water. I'ts always spat alot of water. And it was water and just water from what i could tell.
