Default Which is the better set of heads???

I am planing to buy some heads soon and I'm stuck between two choices.

(1)Stage 2.5 5.3 Prc's

(2) Stage II LS6 patriot heads

They both are in the same general price range. I plan to mate my set of heads with an aggressive cam but nothing to extreme probably around a .585 lift or so. Which heads will offer a bigger gain ?? Please post your opinions and comments

I like the Patriot LS6 heads I have on there now. If you do order them, get the 59 cc heads for added compression.

You might want to get in the dyno section & do some independent results searching. I think you'll find just because the PRC is priced like a budget head doesn't mean it performs like one. Dyno result after dyno result shows the PRC constantly make power that rivals many aftermarket casting cylinder heads.

PRCs 5.3s for your cam IMO. The shorter runner length will be better than ls6 for a little better low end, as well as the compression increase. If you get to milling too much on ls6 heads to match compression of the 5.3s, you'll run into PTV clearance issues.

I have the patriot stage 1 243s w 224/228 cam. car runs like stock and runs 11.4x @ 120 at 3500lbs 3.42s in a 10bolt. gets 25mpg on the 100mi each way trip to the track. very happy with the patriot heads for the money.
