Default Oil Pump (98)

What is, if any, the difference between the 97-98 oil pumps and the 99-04. All the oil pumps I see for sale say 99-04. I thought they were the same since 97. Somebody let me know, I want to get a ported pump for my cam install. Car is a 98 TA

Thanks for the reply. I knew that Vettes got the LS1 in 98. I was just wodering why everywhere you see non OEM oil pumps they say 99-02 instead of 98-02 for f-bodies

Put a Melling #10296 pump or a LS6 pump on it and be done with it.
