Default Cam and springs

I am thinking about installing a X1 cam with .602 lift. Will I be able to put 918's in there till I can buy better springs. I see some places saying that they can not be used will cam bigger than .600 but some say .625. So what is? I won't be reving the engine past stock rev limter till I get upgraded spings. So will the 918's work for me?

I'd wait and go with duals.
X1 is on XE-R lobes right? That, plus .602 lift would be pushing the 918's limits.

This is only my opinion. I'm no expert.

I'm gonna second that. Wait and get better springs IMO. One errant spring is really gonna ruin your day.

get the springs that MTI recommends...its not just total lift that makes the spring descision...its also ramp rates...and a whole slew of other things...
you cant just buy a spring rated for the lift amount...
but you will have to get the Manley Duals from MTI...
the x1 is a Lunati Cam....

saying that a box is 4 feet high does not mean that any 4 ft high thing can fit inside....

just ask the guys at MTI what they recommend for your custom grind....they have been doing it for a long time

always ask the professionals FIRST...
others are all just opinions.

just my $.02
and its a good $.02
