Default cam install w/out tune?

could i get some responses from some people who got a cam install and did not immediately get a tune? did the car run ok? i know its not the most gain possible but id like to get one mod at a time, and dont see the point of tuning after each one.

If you dont have the basic bolt-ons yet do those first... you can safely run those without a tune..... intake, exhaust, underdrive, stall, free mods....

then do the cam when you have the money to get a tune done....

I installed my heads, cam, intake, tb, oil pump, and ud pulley all at one time still waiting on my clutch and master cylinder. I can say this, after installing these parts the car def needs to be tuned. It might be different with just a cam, but i would still have it tuned. My car is not a dd, so it is not really an issue for me.

I drove my GTO with a TSP 233/239 for about 200 miles without a tune. It sucks. It did eventually learn to idle (sometimes). It is certainly possible but no fun.

my tr224 was driveable except the idle was too low and it would die when coming to a stop. tuner said it was a tiny bit lean up top but nothing major. but, i had a full tune for my bolt ons before the cam with the entire rpm band fueling adjusted for max driveability so that may have helped.
