Default Head milling question

How much can I mill my factory 241 heads with a stock cam and stock bottom end. I am wanting to get as much compression as I can without changing over to forged pistons or different heads. Thanks

Well with the stock cam you're goin to want to start worrying about your dynamic compression ratio. Most people milling heads have after market cams which lower the dynamic compression ratio and they are trying to get back some compression. With the stock cam you could get detonation if milling your heads alot. I'm am not sure the exact numbers but if you find the stock cam and ls1 specs and put them into a compression ratio calculator you will see. I think the ideal dynamic compression ratio is like 8.5:1 on pump gas.
