Default 6.0L Iron stroker question

ok, I was planning on doing a 6.0L Iron block stroker motor, 4.125 stroke x 4.030 bore. Someone mentioned to me possible horrible oil consumption due to blowby, has anyone had any experience with this, or heard anything about this? Thanks.

I had a 4.075 stroke x 4.060 bore and did not have weird oil consumption.

I'd talk to knowledgeable folks about the virtues of running a 112 vs a 114 lsa camshaft. I had both and the 112 cam (maybe for a number of reasons) peaked below 6000 and the 114 cam peaked at almost 6200.

I know it's too soon to tell but, my 422 iron block w/ a 112LSA cam isn't having any problems of the sort. It's only been a week though.

4.125 stroke + 112 LSA, I've been there, and the torque with my 4400 stall and 4.10 gears was so extreme that I could never hook the car on the street below 80mph.

I can also tell you from what i have seen, experienced, read about and heard from other major tuners, that any stroke more than 4.00 is TOO MUCH for a LS1/6 motor, ESPECIALLY if its an ironblock, b/c the geometry of the motor will be off and will cause both oil consumption problems, scuffing of pistons and reluctor wheel problems! Stick with a 4.030 bore and 4.00 crank for classic for 409 CUBES! Otherwise, if you sonic test the block for proper thickness and going to stay N/A or only spray 100HP occassinally then 4.060 bore with 4.00 crank will get you 414cid and should be good to go!
