Default Just another Z06 cam question

I've decided to go with an 02 Z06 cam for various reasons. One of them being I don't want to tune yet. My question is will I see some decent power in the neighborhood of 15-20 rwhp with the cam and springs WITHOUT changing the shift points or tuning? This is in an 01 SS A4 and mods will be lid, FTRA, headers, cutout (only for the track), and pulley. thanks for any input.

I thought automatics should be tuned when adding headers OR cam

Yep, sounds about right. Also, use the 02-03 LS6 springs with that cam. Lots of people have gotten 30 rwhp with tuning.

the gains r above 4500, to about 6500, so u will be throwing some away by not shifting where it peaks... also, a good converter will get u another half second in the quarter, best mod for an auto...

yes, the tc is on the list. a small one though. 2800, because I don't want to remove torque management. It has to look, feel, sound as close to stock as possible for the street. and mid-low 12's for the strip n/a consistently on hot muggy days.

If you get a Torque converter you will def. have to remove torque management because you will throw a code because of the slippage of the TC. A tune would really help. You should look into a predator, you can purchase custom tunes for your car off ot their sight. www.runninwiththedevil.com I think thats it.
Good luck man

2002 A4, gained 32 RWHP without ever tuning the car through stock manifolds, cats, etc. Great top end power gain.
