Default JP performance timing chains

Has anyone had any issues? I have a buddy who has had and it seems the bottom gear has some deep groves worn into it. i will post pics later.

I use a bunch of them,never any issues-where were the grooves worn?sounds more like improper installation-probably of the oil pump

There's a big issue with them on the V6 applications concerning the chains they use. Apparently, ZZP performance has reported that the chains have a fail rate of 10%, and that number's rising.

Do u think that maybe there could have been something wrong with the oil pump. The motor was really noisy up to 2500 rpm and then it kinda went away. The pump was a melling oil pump.

Any signs of contact with the pump? Which JP is it, dual or single? If I remember correctly, lower sprocket is induction hardened so there must be an installation issue if that one has been worn. Photo's?

He explained it last night & said that the noise STARTS around 2500 and it goes away around 3500ish
