Default ls6 coolant line

I am puttin a fast 92 on my 98 ls1 how necessary is it to replace the coolant line or should i just weld off the ends of the parts that sit in the head or try and run a rubber line between the two connections at the front and rear?

for my coolant line i kept the stock line and just clearanced it by smashing the tube with a hammer that went from the front line of the head to the back line of the head. ive had no problems with that and it still has flow at the rear and the front of the heads

I cut the mounting pieces off the back line and flipped them over. Bam instant block off plates. Just put some silicone on them and bolt them down.

On the front 1 inch after it Ys to go under the intake I cut it, smashed it shut with a hammer, then soldered it for good measure.

Screw buying a $60 part when I can make stock work just as well in 5 minutes
