Re: Are 918s ok for X1??
NO WAY, in my honest opinion, even though i believe the 918 spring is allegedly good up to .600 lift cams. However, the x1 cam with its .591 lift is one of THE MOST aggressvie hyd. cams out there on heads/cam cars, and i would go with the best dual spring to work with the x1 and would recommend you see what the top tuners like MTI are using with this cam of theirs (the X1)in order to ensure reliability/durability. I personally would not want a single spring with such an agg. bad boy cam!

LOnSLO - I know exactly what you have, and how often you hit that rev limiter <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> but as I told you the other day MTI didn't exactly give me a direct answer to my question.
I know speedtek recomends 918s for their F1 cam, that why I asked about the X1 since they are so similar, I couldn't believe that the ramp rates or whatever could be that different that the X1 would require dual springs.
Now its chosing time!!!
Thanks again guys
