What kind of power should I expect with this setup?
What kind of power should I expect with this setup? I keep going back and forth on what I'm going to do with my swap, because I really don't have a lot of money right now. I'm trying to do a "budget swap". I am putting a 6.0L LQ4 in my car, it's got the cast iron heads which apparently flow the same as the 317 casting aluminum heads.
What I'm thinking about doing as of right now is:
Texas Speed 228R cam package with chromoly pushrods and COMP Cam 918's
Stock LS1 intake manifold
stock iron heads milled 0.040 over, of course with the springs and pushrods mentioned above
LS7 lifters
What do you predict I'll be looking at hp-wise at the wheels? It's going to be going thru a T56, so take that into consideration. I realize the LS1 intake manifold is going to be choking it, but I do plan on upgrading to an LS6 intake or better, later down the road.
