Tips for cleaning out head bolt holes...?

Next time you take the heads off just grab a wet/dry vac and when you take the water pump off just suck that baby dry.

You wont have to clean a single bolt hole again other than just testing a few as a piece of mind!

I have it at my shop and haven't been in the area. I thought any of the engine builders would chime in and get a part #. I can get it in a couple of days if noone gets it first. Basically, if anyone is going to work on these engines, to properly clean the threads use this thread chaser on every hole-then blow out the hole with compressed air-then use the plastic extender on some brake clean to blow in some brake cleaner-then blow out with comp air. This will leave the hole perfectly clean of debri and liquid, and dry. Improvising is OK, but the right tool for the job is a guarantee!

drain your block first and you won't have to clean any bolt holes just blow them out quickly with air

if you need to get fluid out go to pep boys and buy the air gun they have that hooks up to your compresser its 6.99 and hooks up to a fish aration tube perfectly and sprey that in the bolt hole first then use some parts cleaner it will make the bolt hole perfectly dont use regular caned air the pressure isnt enough
