I think some of the early LQ4s had the iron version of the 317 instead of the aluminum one, but that was only for a year or so (someone correct me). But yes, 317s are the same on both LQ4 and LQ9, except the 6.0 liter LS2, which someone in the thread earlier said it had 243s.
