has any body done this on a small bore LS motor?
LS3 heads fitted to a samll bore LS block...WOW!

There was already a thread around here someplace and configured with valves and such ran over $3500 for the set.

so how does something like this hold up to names like AFR and Trickflow in the small bore market? If price says anything I would assume its a pretty impressive deal.

im curious about this as well, i know LS3 heads perform but how about this small bore conversion stuff?

Also wasn't GM thinking about making a small bore LS3 style head? Or was that pre-bankrupt thinking?

My motor is a prime candidate for these heads as I have a max displacement LS6 396ci. I've talked to the guys there and they have yet to test them on a small bore motor yet. I'm curious too but for the money they cost you could buy a forged shortblock with a 4" bore.

im glad i have a 6.0 in mine. i got the ls3 heads for $700 fully assembled and shipped.

I read that the rectangle port heads can keep up with aftermarket castings, but i dont know if that will be affected the changes needed to make them work on a smaller bore

I know the LS3 heads for 3.9 bore motors are their own castings and has a different valve angle but if they actually want to sell them they need to come down on the price big time. If they made these to sell at prices closer to cathedral port aftermarket castings they would sell a whole lot more. I really was planning on selling my heads and fast 92 intake to get a set but the price is waaay too steep for me. Exspecially since I would have to get new fuel rails, injector adapters, Ls3 intake or fast ls3, the spring and valve upgrades. I figured it up and for the cost to change everything over on my set up I could swap my rotating assembly in an ls3 and still have money for Trickflow 235 heads for a strong 427.
