i did a search for this, but didnt find what im looking for.
ive got what i think is a lifter noise on my driver's side. it comes and goes. it does not coincide with heat. it will do it whether the motor is hot or cold.
i just did a cam swap at 50k miles. the stock cam looks really good...
im debating on whether or not to pull the heads and replace the lifters.
thanks,
Jeremy

might be lifter pump up issues , lifter may pump up and hold at times and bleed out , thus ticking . Check oil level first off .
If thats ok maybe pull valve covers and check rockers and PR's , make sure PR's are straight .If all checks out id say it may be lifter swaping time .

after my cam swap i started to have a slightly noisy valvetrain. it kinda comes and goes, sometimes it clatters a little and sometimes it doesn't. not too loud though. im running a tr224 with stock lifters and 7.400 comp pushrods.

i had the noise before i did the cam. i bought the car about 4 weeks ago with roughly 51K miles on it. i noticed the noise shortly after i got it. then i did the cam last week. still got the same sound.
