If you look at the broken timing chain poll, the amount of stock chains has gone up to about 50%. Just something I noticed in the past couple of days. I myself am running a rollmaster double chain set-up.

. . . Plenty of people are turning serious RPM's with the stock chain without problems. The aftermarket chains seem to break almost as often as the stockers. . .

One thing to keep in mind with that poll also is, think of how many cars are running the stock setup vs. cars running ANY aftermarket chain. There is ABSOLUTELY going to be more failures shown in the poll for stock chains. Keep that in mind when you're using words like "better" pertaining to aftermarket parts. Not stock doesn't always mean better, it just means it's different.
If you've got 10,000 cars on the road with stock chains, and 1000 cars on the road with rollmasters.. 20 broken stock chains, and 3 broken rollmasters, according to your math, what part has the better service history? (the numbers are just pulled out of thin air to make the point.)

i have used rollmasters for years zero chain failures, race engines/street engines turning serious rpm/spring pressures way above std should have chains replaced periodically they all have a life limit.....think about that....front cover removal, chain replace(chain cost $30.)cheap insurance i reckon........
