Default Chromoly or what?

I got a set of pushrods a while back and my parts guy said that they were chromoly. Is there any way to check them compared to stock ones? Like a flex test or something?

The reason I ask is because I an doing heads and the springs are doubles so they are stiff as hell.

I know stock pushrods wont handle that if in fact that is what I have in there.

Most aftermarket pushrods are black, and one piece. That would be a good clue, post a pic
