Default ignition problem?

today out of nowhere, my engine starts sputtering. it was sputtering up until around 2000 rpms. at first I thought it might have been my stall converter. I hooked it up to a diagnostic and it said it had a misfire in cylinder one. we tried swapping the coil and plug wire on cylinder one. it ran fine for one block then it started sputtering again. does anyone know what this could be? also could there be another meaning to the cylinder 1 misfire code?

Did you change the actual spark plug by chance?

Did you pull your plug and look at it? What mods do you have?

Pull the plug out and check to see if its black or dirty. They should be a nice tan looking. Bad plugs can cause a lot of problems.
