Soooo its finally time to buy a new engine for my beloved 99 z/28. I have already kinda decided where I was gonna buy it from, but was interested in where some of you have gone to buy a new crate and whether or not you were happy with the perfomance, service and price.

Are you looking for a stock long block or something with forged rods and pistons with a nice head and cam package?

full forged, think im gonna spray 200 shot nano. just need to decide how many cubes. my buddy nas a 99 frc with a 402, 4:10 gears and i think hes gonna spray a 150. All I really know at this point is that I want to beat him. both cars are 6spd cars.

I plan on running a moser 12blt w/ 4:30 gears. I think Im gonna go with a 418. just have to find a donor block and a nice head cam setup.

Nice thing about my build is that most of his car is done and I will know the rest of his specs by the time I start buying my ****. So It shouldnt be too hard to beat him, lol. only thing he should really have on me before it is all said and done with is a lighter, more aerodynamic car.

TSP or SDPC have good deals on shortblocks. There are also some sales going on in the sponsors section.
