Default Lifter ?

ive been out of the game for a couple years now but im coming back around and im seeing alot has changed and i like it.
im looking to freshen up my car and am looking to buy some lifters soon but like everybody else nowadays money isnt what it used to be.
im not looking for an all out race lifter, my car might see the track once maybe twice a year and other than that its just for fun and on weekends, street bruiser.
the car has an F14 cam, Fast 90mm, NW 90mm tb, ported stock heads (getting replaced this year), QTP lt's, no cats, 4" exaust, all bolts ons.
ive got a few questions.
#1 would a set of new stock oem lifters be good enough (i spin the motor to 6900rpm).
#2 is there a big difference between the ls7 lifters and the caddy racing lifters?
#3 im not looking for the "best" but whats the best value (even if its not the cheapest)?
#4 are there any vendors running any specials on lifters now or any time soon?

The ls7 lifter is the new lsx replacement lifter from gm. Alot of people have great luck with them. TSP has them prety cheap.

Morels are the only way to go. Their has been several failures of the Caddy lifter. Do a search for more info. I had good sucess with stock Ls1 lifters for years. The Comp R's are sensitive to preload. I also had one fail, but I had other issues as well.

I ordered mine in October and got them a few weeks ago. There were some vendors a few weeks back that had some in stock...maybe they are out again now. Try calling some vendors to see if anyone has them!
