guys i have ls1 engine and my heads now 241 stock am asking about using 862 for 5,3L engines on my ls1 engine??
the reason that i chose these heads it comes 62cc combustion chamber all of them are stock
241 as you know comes 67cc
my question is there more power from it ??
my compresstion now 10.1:1
with 862 will be 10.8:1 and with using new head gasket 0.040 thickness will be 11.1:1

what is most important?? 241cfm or 862 compresstion??

plz guys give me a solution without useing cnc ported heads

The 5.3 head also has a smaller runner which promotes better velocity. I would go with the 5.3 heads and take advantage of the extra compression.

 

I think you might see a slight power improvement from the compression increase despite the small cfm drop. If you have the money to send out the 5.3's for porting, then you'll be really happy.
