Default Need experienced cam guys help

Well I have finished out my bolt-ons, and am getting ready to go forward with my plan of making the z a cam only street car. I have been looking around and am going to end up getting the TSP camshaft package which comes with your choice of cam, Comp prc spring kit and hardened chromoly pushrods.

I can't decide which cam I want though. I figure I'm going to throw the ones up here that I am thinking about, and hopefully you guys can help me out.

1. TSP Tsunami 235/240 .654"/.609" 111lsa

2. TSP Torquer v.2 232/234 .595"/.598"

3. TSP 233/239 .595"/.603"

4. TSP Torquer v.3 231/234 .643"/.598"

5. TSP 228R .588"/.588"

I know this part doesn't belong in this section, but I am planning on matching one of these with a circle d 3600 stall and some 3.73s with some nitto drag radials on the back and a good *** tune obviously.

What do you guys think? SHould I maybe go another route. I may one day go ahead and get a set of ls6 stg 1.0 heads and keep it like that. I would really like some advice guys, I don't know what to do at the moment.

One more thing, did I leave anything out that I would need for the cam swap?

I think I would go for the 228 or go to Thunder for a TR224 or TR230. A couple of your choices are big, too big for the stall and may be a little finicky on street manners. For me, again, in MY opinion. Disclaimer so the big cam lovers don't take it personal like they do.

You will have a strong ride. Seriously, look at the TR230. It has a great reputation when used on cam only cars.

Good luck!!

I think the tsp 228 would work the best with the 3600 stall and those 3.73s, but I could be wrong. My pick is the torquer v.2 but is a 3600 stall the best stall for that cam? Also, I am considering getting a set of ported stg 1 ls6 heads. Should I reconsider the stall for those as well? Any info is great ya'll, I'm really trying to learn as much as possible.

excellent choice in brand stall and the torquer v2 cam is great but i would go with the 3200 cricle d triple disc stall instead good off a roll and dead stops and that cam will make some power with this kind of stall 373 gears are great the 3600 its to big

Idk bout' stalls Im an M6 boy myself but I'd cast my vote on the torquer V2, I just finished searching for my first cam to put into my "cam only until I get $ for heads" car this summer. My first pick TorquerV2 fell through, so I ended up grabbing my #2, A TSP 233/239 112. If The torquer Is not to your liking I would then Cast my vote on the TSP 228R. 3.73's sound great with a stall and one of these cams you'll be Making those 555's scream! Goodluck with your search.
