Default ls7 lifters?

I have an ls1 with lifter tick. Is there any amount of performance i will gain getting the ls7 lifters? I know there the new stock replacements but wondered if any power gains could be expected when i replace them.

No, they are the same lifters you have already. Unless you have one that isn't working correctly and making you loose power, you wont see a difference.

I can tell you that the lifter trays in the ls1's are garbage. When i did all my motor work i changed the lifters to ls7 and went with ls2 lifter trays. The lifter trays may be the cause of some of that noise you have. Ls1 trays are made of plastic and as time passes the lifters can turn and rotate in the trya which is not a good thing. The ls2 trays are aluminum and won't have that problem. I advise changing both just for the quality of parts. It will be worth it in the long run.

my car is headers, catless y pipe into a catback xhaust but i took the muffler off so its wide open. I never noticed the tick until i took it off and my SES light has some type of o2 sensor code. If i put the exhaust muffler back on and close the cutout could that fix the code possibly and in turn stop the tick?

P.S. they are brand new ac delco o2 sensors

your o2 sensor code may just be sensing a little bit of leaness

Are you sure your headers aren't leaking? They make a ticking type noise when they leak. What gaskets did you use?

Sorry im just trying to identify the tick and checked all of the egr and header gaskets and replace the two egr gaskets so i was almost certain that it wasn't a leak. The header gaskets are the pacesetter one's that came with the headers. The sound doesn't sound like air/exhaust it sounds like an object malfunction but my untrained ear could be wrong.

One more this not pertaining to ls7 lifters haha is that when i sit in the driver seat and the hood is up, looking through the mindsheild at the engine bay i can see an excessive amount of heat distortion (how it looks when you look right above a flame). So i will continue to hunt around but thanks for your informative reply's and sorry to stray off the topic of ls7 lifters.
