where is the block number

where is the block number

so the engine in my car was switched out before i bought it and im curious to where a number is on the block so i know which motor i have i know its one of the LS based engines just dono which one its in a 2000 Z28 camaro

I believe it will be behind the driver's side head.

Back of the block just below the heads on the driver side.
