year model I D for 6.0 block

After 40 years of building and racing first generation small blocks, I bought a "core" 6.0 short block as the foundation of my first LS build up.

How can I find out the year model of this block?

In front of the passenger head on the block, there should be a casting # i.e. A054...correlates to Jan 5th 2004.
