Default rocker arms

hi all looking into tsp 5.3l heads, 224 cam kit. with pushrods n springs and all. would it be advisable to get new rocker arms? if the stock ones will work and shouldnt be any issue id rather not spend the extra money cause itll be tight getting all i need now. but if they work for awhile but have issues later ill just throw some in now. thanks for any advice

With the 224 you will be fine with stock rocker arms. I'm only getting Harland Sharp rockers for my Torquer 2 because I am getting the PRC Stage 2.5 5.3L Heads and want the extra security. I'm not one to cut any corners...so I'll spend the extra $400...lol

you can have harland sharp upgrade the stockers for $260. this way you dont need to worry about losing the needle bearings.

I'm in the process of getting the motor out of my car to rebuild it and do the 5.3 heads and the 228R cam. I'm just gonna send mine to Harland Sharp and have them redone since they are pushing 100K on them.

yeah might look into doing that. mine only have 78000 on them but if all else is being rebuilt oughta just get em redone too.
