Default LQ4/9 vs LS1

i have a 99 T/A shell and i am wanting to put a motor in it. right now i am torn between dropping in an LS1 and a LQ4/9. my basic goals for this car is around 450-500 rwhp, N/A and maybe Nitrous, all with stock internals on the block for the time being. i know that the lq blocks weigh in about 100 lbs more than the ls blocks do and that the LQ4 and LQ9 blocks are the same except for the piston heads. i was originally goin to go with an ls block.
is there any disadvantages with goin with a lq block besides the weight issue?
how much of a shot could a ls block with stock internals safely take? what about the lq blocks?
what would i need to modify to get a lq block to run in an fbody besides tuning the ecu and using an fbody oil pan?

any advice would be awesome

The LQ( uses an Iron block where as the Ls is aluminum. I say if your going all out motor build a ls series. If you going to do any forced induction...lq is the indestructable way to go. Nitrous is a toss up...I'd personally like the advantage of less weight but added durability when your sprayin that 150 shot. If you going bigger than a 150 id say use a lq9 if not go with a ls series motor.
