317's or 806's?? Well, my 6.0 lq9 will be here on monday. And I about to make an order with TSP for a ms3 and some other goodies. I have a blown 98 ls1 with 806's. The lq9 is coming with 317's. Should I use the 317's or the 806's on the new motor? I know 317's flow better, but compression would be lower. So I'm kinda on the fence about which ones to use. This is just a temporary solution till i get some cash saved up for some ported 5.3's or something. So help me out guys.... |
crickets.... |
why not mill the 317s since they flow a hell of allot better than the 806s. |
If I mill them, I'm afraid they will have ptv clearance issues... |
put the ms3 in and check ptv, it will let you know how much you can take off the heads. even if you left them stock i would stick the 317 heads on because they flow allot better. you will still have good compression because the lq9 has flat top pistons. |
alright...i'll do that. Thanks. |
just hold off on buying pushrods till you decide what your doing and measure. |
