Default Transmission???

Look, like an idiot, I sprayed down my engine the other day cause I was lazy and didnt have time to clean it. Now all of a sudden, my car wont shift into first and sometimes second. Like when I accelerate, it revs real high and does not get into gear for about ten seconds.. Also when I am cruisin, If I punch it it wont gear up. Transmission? Spark Plugs and wires? Timeing belt? Anything?

Sounds like a transmission control issue... like the computer isn't commanding it to shift. A good place to start would be find a local tranny shop that does free diagnosis and have them hook a scanner to it and see if the computer is telling it to shift or not.

Sounds like you got water in your ECM, it is located on the passenger side engine bay, right under the windshield. If it got water in it, you need a new ECM.

I had a similar thing happen to another car, the harness got water in in and needed to be unwrapped and dryed out then it worked.
