Default The real deal on the ASA cam?

Has this cam become a proven track performer? What kind of gains in track times/dyno numbers are people getting on stock displacement and heads?

The ASA 226/236 cam makes a TON of TQ, and a real fun cam for the street. With a good set of heads, expect 400-415 rwhp or more depending on tuning, and LOTS of TQ and area under the curve. This cam doesn't make much of a peak #, but that's not what matters.

A member of this board ran this cam for 2 yrs. With POS heads and a POS tune, the car made a best of 407 rwhp, but trapped 120 mph in the 1/4 and won PLENTY of street races.

It's a good cam if you wanna save on springs (LS6 springs can be used), and don't care about idle quality.
