Default Heads/Cam= maxed out injectors???

Will a pair of heads, and a cam max out stock injectors?

I think your car has the 28 or 28.8 pound injectors. I know cars with the smaller 26 pound injectors are good to ~450rwhp in most cases. I really doubt heads and cam will max out your injectors.

I would say I havnet seen any 450 hp cars with anything less than a 30# injector. Plus when saying 450 hp is the max would that be for M6 ? What about an auto that looses alot of power through converter . I personally think mine are Maxed out at 420hp in my auto. I might be off but Ive never seen 420+ rwhp autos with stock injectors either. Like I said I could be way wrong but from what ive seen around I think you can defintly max out the injectors.

If you are going by the rule of thumb that you want your injectors to be around 80% duity cycle then yes, a H/C package can definately max out your injectors.

Check out this thread for cycle duity & HP ratings:

I believe it's possible to make those high rwhp claims with stock injectors using an adjustable fuel pressure regulator. Of course raising the fuel pressure puts a higher load on the fuel pump and can cause earily pump failure. It can also cause tuning issues at low engine speeds.

If just for 1/4 mile you should be ok, but if you plan to stay up in the rpms (ie: open road racing), then you might want to think about upgrading.
